About Harold J. Love, MA, LPC, NCC
Captain, Michigan State Police (Ret.)
“The cumulative effect of traumatic incidents and stress that plague public safety culture can be devastating to mental, emotional, and physical health. With 25 years of experience behind the badge, today it is my mission to provide critical psychological services and proactive behavioral health training tailored to the unique demands of law enforcement.”
Harold J. Love is a retired senior law enforcement executive with more than 25 years of experience, including 17 in leadership and management positions. Throughout his career, he realized the substantial need for culturally relevant mental and behavioral health services that truly speak to those who have devoted their lives to public safety. This fueled his desire to obtain the necessary education, training, and state licensure to provide law enforcement officers with critical pathways to services that foster fulfillment, wellness, and longevity.
Now, as a national board certified licensed professional counselor, Love offers a full range of mental health services customized for public safety professionals. He collaborates with a consortium of veteran clinicians to provide pre-employment and fitness for duty psychological evaluations, critical incident stress management, and confidential individual therapy, as well as behavioral health and cultural competency training seminars for major law enforcement agencies across the region.
